Basic characteristics of toothed blades

Toothed blades are industrial slitting or cutting blades with serrated edges, which are widely used in packaging machinery, automation equipment and other fields. The following are some basic characteristics of toothed blades:

1. High hardness
The material of toothed blades needs to have high hardness, which is one of its basic characteristics. In order for a toothed blade to cut chips from a workpiece, its hardness must be greater than the hardness of the workpiece material. Generally speaking, the chip edge hardness of a toothed blade used for cutting metal is above 60HRC.

2. Wear resistance
Wear resistance is the ability of a toothed blade material to resist wear. Generally speaking, the higher the hardness of a toothed blade material, the better its wear resistance. Wear resistance is also related to the chemical composition, strength, microstructure and temperature of the friction zone of the material. During use, toothed blades need to be regularly maintained and cleaned to maintain their sharpness and extend their service life.

3. Heat resistance
Heat resistance is the main indicator of the cutting performance of toothed blade materials. It refers to the ability of toothed blade materials to maintain the agreed hardness, wear resistance, strength and toughness under high temperature conditions. The toothed blade material should also have the ability to resist oxidation at high temperatures and good anti-adhesion and anti-diffusion capabilities, that is, the material should have good chemical stability.

4. Reasonable design
Reasonable blade design is essential to improve production efficiency, ensure the beauty of the cut products, and ensure the stability and durability of the production process.

5. Diverse forms
Toothed blades have various forms, including integral, welded, and mechanically clamped. Different forms are suitable for different application scenarios and mechanical equipment.

6. Wide range of applications
Toothed blades are widely used in various mechanical equipment, such as packaging machines, bagging machines, material packaging machines, bag making machines, carton sealing machines, etc. They include but are not limited to packaging machinery toothed knives, paper press roller serrated knives, serrated toothed knives, serrated blades for plastic films, etc.

In summary, the basic characteristics of toothed blades mainly include high hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance, reasonable design, diverse forms, and a wide range of applications. These characteristics make toothed blades play a key role in industrial production and daily life.
