A chipper is a mechanical device used in the production of thin or thin sheets. It mainly removes materials from the surface of the workpiece through the rotation of the blade, thereby achieving the goal of processing the workpiece into thin or thin sheets. However, as the number of uses of the chipper increases, the blades will gradually wear out and the working efficiency will also decrease. At this point, it is necessary to adjust the blade of the chipper to restore cutting accuracy and processing quality. The following is the adjustment method for the blade of the chipper.
A group of technicians and necessary tools should be prepared, such as flat screwdriver, cross screwdriver, adjusting screw, Pneumatic tool and micrometer. Secondly, it is necessary to adjust the blade according to the following steps.
1. Turn off the power and air supply of the chipper, check if the blade is securely installed, and if it is loose, it needs to be re fixed.
2. Gently remove the fixing screws of the rack, and then use the adjustment screws on the blade holder to loosen the blade. The adjusting screws are located on both sides of the blade holder and can be adjusted using a Phillips screwdriver or Pneumatic tool.
3. Use a micrometer to measure the gap between the blade holder and the blade. If the gap is insufficient or too large, you need to adjust the blade holder manually or use Pneumatic tool until a reasonable gap is reached.
4. Check if the blade and spindle are concentric or parallel. If not, it is necessary to use adjustment screws to achieve concentricity or parallelism, so as to maintain accurate position between the blade and the spindle.
5. After installing the blade, gently tighten the adjustment screw on the blade holder. During the tightening process, it is necessary to be careful not to overtighten, otherwise it will affect the cutting quality.
6. Reinstall the rack and fixing screws, then turn on the power and air sources to test the chipper. If the machine works normally, the adjustment has been completed successfully.
